Lunch was very very late (like 1:30, we'd been hungry since... long before that). But the soup was good, and they were generous with the crackers and cheese. I like cheese...

Signy finished the tablet weaving, cut it into garters, and ironed it. I immediately tied the garters onto my bare legs (the heat had come back up). The team next to us admired the garters quite a bit. And then I of course had to tie my new garters onto my hose. They stopped sagging around the ankles! How neat! So I was now dressed in burgundy hose with blue and white tablet woven garters, a red tunic, and a burgundy hood.

Kate cuts out tippits. When she first drafted them, the drawing looked like Romulan spaceships. Luckily, it looks normal in fabric!

After the ribbon was applied, button holes had to be made. And then the buttons were sewn on. The buttons were cast by Avery, and had been FedEx-ed to Iasmin, the hosting baroness. When we got there, Gwyn looked her up; "Do you have buttons for us?" She had the bag of buttons in her hand. "Buttons? What buttons? I don't know anything about buttons!" People had been by all night looking at the buttons. They're very cool, the big ones have blue dots in the middle! So all the buttons had to be hand sewn on. 49 big buttons down the fronts, and 46 for 4 sleeves. I think everyone sewed buttons on. It was impressive watching the teamwork.
