Virithos gets a yummy wool hood! Complete with nasal.
The next bit finished was the hood. It was starting to get cold in the church (especially after I decided it was easier to just keep my pants off), so I wore it around. The first time I put it on, the liripipe flopped in front of my eyes. At this point, it was late enough that things were getting funny, so I adjusted it infront of my nose and went around telling people it was like the nasal on a helm, or there to keep my nose warm. The burgundy hood and my orangy red tunic were... certainly an interesting color combination. And when I stood next to other members of the team, in their tunics of differing shades of red... I'm sure we were a sight to behold.

Signy flashes the world with her new period undies. This was a recurring theme throughout the event.
A couple people had wandered off to nap. I was tired, but I knew the team wasn't done with my body. So I decided that I would nap in the main room instead of the quiet sleeping room downstairs, and they could stand me up when they wanted me. So I pulled up my pillow (in plaid pillow case, of course), and my wool quilt, and my biggest sheepskin, and Ceara and I curled up for a nap in front of the world.

Of course, my team was too polite to wake me when they needed me, so I ended up getting quite a bit of sleep. Ceara, for all that she's scrawny, puts out quite a bit of heat! While I was drifting off, the team next to us was playing music. They had been all night, but just before I fell asleep, while I was drifting not quite awake, suddenly there were swords clanging and people shouting and screaming! I woke up with a start. Finally my head un-muddled enough to realize it was music, not a battle going on around me, and I fell asleep. I later teased them about their music choice and inadvertent timing, and they took it well.

Kate cutting out Virithos' hose. Which only took umpteen bazillion fittings to fit right on those mutant legs…

Sewing away!

Getting fitted for the butt piece of the hose
Eventually, the hose pattern was bullied into shape. First I had one leg. Then I had two legs connected in front. Apparently this style of hose has a separate butt piece. So I stood in the middle of the room with my rear end (in period underwear, so it was OK) bared to all while the covering piece was fitted in. Finally, they were done. I pulled them on, and wow are they cozy! Fulled wool, all the way down to my pointy toes.
