Driving 55

I've been thinking, why aren't we seeing more people drive 55? I did it today and noticed a few people also driving 'slow' to save gas. MPG was much better than 'normal' drving, 32 vs 25. Pretty good for a mid-sized awd wagon like the outback.

One thing that I've been doing lately, is not bothering to accelerate when there is no turnoff and the stoplight ahead of me is red. This means I'm just coasting and losing speed, but it's not like I'm going to get there any sooner by getting to the red light faster.

Arguably I should be driving 55 if I'm talking about it but I admit that getting passed by 95%+ of traffic is scary as heck.
