My Representative Voted for Transit

Local article on the transportation veto:

"We feel like we have a piece of it," she said of the MVST constitutional amendment and 'wonderful' transit component. "They (House Republican leaders) have to take the suburbs seriously now," said Tingelstad of the Republican suburban transportation voting block. "I voted on behalf of my district," she said.

I'm moving out of Tinglestad's district into Hortman's soon, but in the realm of transportation I'm surprised at the increasing parity in the Metro over how to fund infrastructure improvements and grow transit. Plus, with a substantial amount of people using transit in Coon Rapids (upper deck of transit park and ride) how can they not support transit? Its the only thing that makes Highway 252 bearable for my commute.
