Welcome! This area of Destiny serves our users. Our goal is to provide a means to keep in contact with our friends and to provide the same advantages to them that administering our own server gives us. To this end, we provide e-mail (including a Web interface), domain name services, Web hosting, and other services to people we know. As the Destiny project took shape, we also discovered that several non-profit organizations that we were involved with were looking to set up an Internet presence. Ringworld fit perfectly into this, so we now provide hosting for several groups, entirely for free, with no annoying ad banners or popups. Getting an account If you know Andy, Scott, or Kevin, talk to one of us and we will be glad to set you up with an account. We are currently not giving accounts to people we are not otherwise associated with. Once you have an account set up, you have access to e-mail, shell access, and space for your personal Web page. See the help page on using these. Member services Using the links above, you may access your ringworld.org e-mail through SquirrelMail, our Web mail interface, or login to a shell via our Java SSH applet. You may also want to check out the help page. |
